What is Spirit Alive?
Spirit Alive is a two-day youth conference for Catholic teens across the St. Louis diocese (and beyond). The high-energy weekend is focused on fun, fellowship, and building a stronger relationship with Christ.

Throughout the conference, youth are split up by grade to attend specialized sessions built just for them. These sessions include…

  • Talks by dynamic, nationally-known Catholic speakers
  • Small group discussions
  • Team-building exercises
  • Praise & worship
  • Developing a practical focus on their personal prayer life

And so much more!

Stay tuned for updated information about the different tracks! In the meantime, you can get an idea of what to expect from last year’s descriptions:

With such a wide range of ages in attendance, there has been a huge demand to develop more specialized programs for specific age groups. Please check back soon for more information about the different tracks.

7th & 8th Grade – Confirmation / Newly Confirmed Retreat

  • Specially designed for Confirmation students and recently Confirmed – perfect for a PSR class or Confirmation retreat!
  • We’ve arranged specialized talk on the gifts of the Holy Spirit, becoming an “adult” in your faith, and the role of a Confirmation saints/sponsors/etc. This will be mixed in with small group discussions, games, a photo scavenger hunt, and separated girl/boy talks.
  • As future (or recent) recipients of Confirmation, the students will receive an in-depth crash course on God’s wonderful gifts, what it means to truly integrate faith into your spiritual life, and have the opportunity to discuss.

9th – 11th Grade – God: Avenger of The Righteous

  • Created specifically for high school students to address questions, concerns, and challenges in their faith
  • We’ve carefully crafted specialized talk topics to focus on what high schoolers need to hear to thrive in their faith.
  • These topics will include things such as…
    • What it means to be Catholic
    • Living up to the example and expectations of their faith
    • Staying rooted in Catholicism and the structure of the church
    • The purpose and types of prayer
  • Catholic vocations panel
  • Youth groups, bible studies, and classes welcome!

12th Grade – Real world “Bootcamp”

  • Preparing for college can be a challenging time – this track was designed by brand new college students to share their “post high school” experiences
  • These sessions will be led by current college students and focus on the struggles they faced after graduation and how to overcome the temptations on college campuses and within work environments
